Still another parrotfish (15-inches). Parrotfishes' namesake beaks are used to eat hard corals (consisting of calcium shells with live coral polyps inside). They are able to digest the organic matter (corals, algaes) and poop out the calcium as fine sand. Indeed, many experts believe that most of the white sand in the oceans and on beaches is thus created by parrotfish.
