Pink anemonefish (2 inches long) swims along the upturned underside of its host anemone
Isla Mujeres, Mexico. This photo is representative of the awesome encounters we had with whale sharks on this trip. We snorkeled near/among dozens of 20-40ft whale sharks as they skimmed plankton (mostly bonito tuna eggs) off the surface. Jen, one of our small Wetpixel group, watches (in awe) respectfully as this giant passes.
A Hawksbill turtle rummages through reef rubble, as two Regal Angelfish and a Moorish Idol hover nearby, hoping the turtle will stir up something good that they can snap up (Rangiroa, Fr. Polynesia)
